The Best of Something Interesting
A starter guide for anyone encountering Something Interesting for the first time.
Something Interesting has been publishing since 2020 and by now the archives are a little too long for a new reader to easily skim. So I’m assembling this as an overview of some of my most interesting / significant articles for new readers looking to get familiar with the content they will find here.
What is Something Interesting?
Something Interesting is an advertisement free collection of approachable, common-sense explanations of the concepts and events in the cryptocurrency industry. You can learn more about Something Interesting here.
Who are you?
My name is Tyler Odean! You can learn more about me here.
Where should I start?
Totally reasonable to start on the front page! About half my posts are about recent news events in crypto and that’s the easiest place to sample that. Typically those posts will cover 2-3 larger stories and a handful of smaller stories. They sometimes also include replies and questions from readers and my response. The other half of my posts are deep-dives exploring specific topics:
Writing about Bitcoin:
Writing about the Environment:
Writing about DeFi/Ethereum:
The Trouble with Ethereum (Part I)
The World does not need a World Computer (Part II)
Writing about NFTs:
Not your transaction fees, not your blockspace (Bitcoin Ordinals)
Writing about myself:
